Our beliefs around Therapy

Our beliefs around Therapy

Therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong with you, and you don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from it. It’s a space to understand yourself better, work through the things that feel heavy, and build tools that actually fit your life. Come skeptical, curious, nervous, or unsure—there’s no “right” way to feel about therapy. You just have to show up as you are.

Therapy can mean different things to different people. Your therapy may be going outside and being able to sit with nature. Or, it might be going to church each week and seeing your friends. Here at York Mental Health we value personal connection, and want the best for our patients.
